as soon as i open technic nothing comes up and it stops responding the only file in .techniclauncher it a empty log file

yeah none of the solutions work for me, i guess im not the only one with this issue.

no still just empty log

You have to disable your antivirus and firewall and redownload it. AVG is blocking the files from being downloaded. You could always get rid of AVG as it is a steaming pile and get Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast. They are both free and don't horribly suck like AVG.
