Title: Tekkit won't load! Stuck on Logo.

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Windows 8, RTM x64

Java Version: Java SE, both x64 and x32 installed.

Description of Problem:

When ever I try to launch tekkit, I have both the launcher and .jar, It loads up, and gets stuck on the 'Technic' Logo, nothing happens. At the end, I have to end the task from Task manager. Any fixes for windows 8? Any way I can fix this?

Why would you have both 32 and 64 bit Java? Remove the 32 bit.

I did, Now whenever I launch it, it gives me an error saying 'Technic launcher updater has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution to this problem'

and it just closes.

I have this problem too. I run 64 bit java and windows 8. Im wondering if its an issue with windows 8. But the launcher loads after about 10-15 minutes of just waiting. I get stuck on the little loading square. Also, I have somehow managed to crash Tekkit twice in an hour. So I really am wondering if it is Windows 8 bugging out.

Same happens to me when using the exe version when a firewall is blocking the connection. The updater fails but the launcher starts.

In any case, either disable your firewall or use the .jar file for Linux.
