kylek Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Can we try to get Mojang and all of the producers of Tekkit to work together and try to get tekkit on Xbox 360. I play it on the computer but most of my friends play xbox and Ive always wanted to play tekkit with them. So if you guys can help tell Mojang and the producers of Tekkit than that would be great. Thanks
Jorcer Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 No. Mods will likely never exist on XBox for many reasons (Which I will not list here) EDIT: Also, Mojang doesn't even develop Minecraft on XBox
ace223 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Sorry to be the one to prove you wrong Jorcer but Mojang once said that they will EVENTUALLY add Mod Support for Xbox, but its not planned for anytime soon. Mojang dont directly code MC For Xbox but they do coordinate what goes in and happens.

Also for mods to be made, Microsoft would need to change the way the system works. There is a reason there are no mods for other games (like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout, etc.) Those games all had hugely active modding communities and came with modding API on day one yet they still don't have mods for those games.
ace223 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Who develops it on Xbox 4j Studios does the XBox version. dont believe me, look here.

MS has a lot of rules about what can and can't go on in games on their service, allowing anyone to make a mod of whatever they wanted like the PC version does would throw all of that out the window. if "modding" happens on Xbox, it'll be VERY, VERY limited.

That is what I was trying to say
