As far as I can tell it is because the new vanilla version has been updated to 1.4.2.

So hopefully it wont take them long to put the checksum of that version in the launcher.

If you have not updated your vanilla minecraft it might be possible to use it. But it shouldnt take long to get this sorted.

The same thing just started to happen to me when I restarted the game after it crashed. Is there any way to fix it?

That's the problem I had, it's just because the minecraft.yml file has not been updated by the technic team yet.

While your suggested cause sounds correct, I don't recall seeing problems when 1.3 came out. Unless 1.2.5 has become unsupported, but I'm not entirely sure how it works.

What do you think?

Minecraft.yml only contains the hashes until version 1.3.2, so i guess thats the problem.

Adding them manually doesn't help, it just downloads minecraft.yml again and overwrites your own.

Well, I'm able to log in to Tekkit and play on my server just fine. But it seems the solution to this problem is for the pack to update. Back to the waiting game!

(Note: me saying 'pack to update' does not mean ask for an ETA)
