Random Freezing & Crashing

When playing, the client will randomly freeze, then after a few hours of playing, it will return to the launcher or just stay frozen until the pc is restarted. I have allowed the game 8GB RAM in the launcher settings.

PC Specs:

i7 6700k

Intel HD Graphics 530

Xubuntu 15.10

16GB RAM

noooooo! Not 8 GIG!!!! Y u do dis to your computer! Allocate 3 gig max to tekkit classic. And up to 4 gig for big modpacks. Hope this fixes it. If not: pastebin the crash log here. If that isn't present. Pastebin the fml-latest.log

Still no better. Just thought that by giving it 8gb, it could use as much as it needs.

And opening links on servers freezes it for a while too.

Weird... Are all your drivers up to date? And can you pastebin the log?

Deinstall optifine. It really doesn't work good

I dont have linux so I have no idea what this means

But right after this the log sais: exiting modpack

optifine is part of tekkit classic though? I never installed it separately.

Decided it is most likely a driver issue and will now upgrade to windows 10 and buy a graphics card.

After a bit of experimenting, found that the texture pack i was using was causing the issue. Could probably of been solved by using windows 10 though.
