Meapa Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Title: Teleport Pipes not working Version: 3.1.2 OS: Windows 7 Home Java Version: 1.7.0_09 Description of Problem: The teleport pipes are connected on the same frequency but they don't say they are connect and they don't work.
0 theprolo Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Are they both in loaded chunks and placed by the same player?
0 Meapa Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Are they both in loaded chunks and placed by the same player? Yes, We have a world anchor at both of them. and the same person placed them.
0 theprolo Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Double check the frequency and make sure they're in the same dimension.
0 Meapa Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Yeah they are both on the same frequency and ofc in the same dimension.
0 theprolo Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Hmm... Have you tried replacing them? you could also try setting both to receive.
0 Meapa Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 This is not a first time problem, It happens every time anyone goes to place tp pipes on my server.
0 theprolo Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Then try re-installing the mod, see if that helps.
0 Meapa Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Where do I go to do that? Alright gonna do that now Still not fixed.
0 theprolo Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5 Go to that link, press Ctrl-f, type in "Additional Pipes", then just download that, then replace the one in your server's mods folder with it. Might also be an idea to delete the AdditionalPipes.cfg file in the Buildcraft Config folder.

0 Moundaccound Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 First everything worked fine with my teleport pipes but somehow i got the same problem withouch changing anything. I tried to solve it through taking another frequency, so i changed it from 1 to 10 and my server crashed, now i cant play, could i repair my world data somehow?
0 Nolz Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Make sure that "Can Receive?" is on "True" (Or something like that) on the receiving Teleport Pipe
0 Hotelmariofan Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Also, maybe try dimensional anchors instead of world anchors, I read somewhere that world anchors don't work anymore, or are at least glitchy. Plus, dimensional anchors are a lot cheaper to build.
0 Meapa Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 @Nolz That's not the problem, It doesn't even show up that there's two pipes connected. @hotelmariofan I will have a try.
0 Hotelmariofan Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Also, I read that in order for an anchor to work, you need to have been in that area so that the chunks will load, since an anchor only keeps already loaded chunks loaded.
0 Meapa Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 Also, I read that in order for an anchor to work, you need to have been in that area so that the chunks will load, since an anchor only keeps already loaded chunks loaded. Umm. Can you explain a bit clearer? I didn't really get that.
0 Hotelmariofan Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Umm. Can you explain a bit clearer? I didn't really get that. When you go around your Minecraft world, it loads a certain amount of the world around you. That space is split up into chunks, and they only load when you are using them, so when you leave an area, those chunks(part of the world) unload, so things are not active there. An anchor(world, dimensional, teleport) is supposed to keep the chunks around it loaded. But for that to happen, they need to be loaded first. So if the server restarts, the anchor won't do anything until you go to it and load the chunks around the anchor, then it will keep them loaded until the next server restart. That's my understanding of how they work. Like I said, I've heard that dimensional anchors are the most reliable, plus they're cheap and you can adjust the area that they keep loaded.
