Is Technic Launcher ''broken'' or what?

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit

Java Version: JRE 7u9

Antivirus Program: Avg Anti-Virus 2012, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Description of Problem:

So after I installed windows 7 again (zero access was evil) I can't get my technic launcher working at all, first of all it takes like 2-3 minutes to get it open, and after it's open, it doesn't show ANY mods on the left, It only says ''Oh Noes! Our Tumblr Feed is Down!''

And it has been like this for few days now, so please help, thank you.

Well AVG is evil so unistall that. But that may not fix it. Do you use the .exe or.jar?

Uninstall it? Well okay if that's the problem. And I use the latest technic launcher so I think it is .exe

AVG will block its network access.

Don't leave Windows unprotected!! I use Avast! free antivirus. Works brilliantly.

I would recommend you get rid of AVG and get MSE or Avast! (they are both free and much better than AVG). I doubt the exe is causing your problem so just try getting rid of

AVG and see how that works out. If not, posting a log would be helpful.

Thanks everybody, I deleted AVG and installed Avast!, and now the Techinc Pack works again ^^

The error about that Tumblr feed is normal, it just means the launcher is unable to get the latest blog posts

To be honest, I believe we don't even have a blog for it to get the feed from...

No, that error only appears when something is blocking the Launcher connection with the internet (in this case it was his antivirus)
