Alfie Evans Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Hey guys, I'm new to the forums but I was just wondering, am I crossbreeding correctly? I'm trying to make hops but whenever I try and crossbreed it just makes the same plant. I do the normal method of putting a 3 by 3 square with a water hole in the middle one crop north east south and west plant to seeds wait for them to grow plant two crops in the corners and wait. But when I try to crossbreed netherwart for example it just makes a new netherward. Am I doing something wrong? thanks Quote
theprolo Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 No, the process is random. When cross breeding the same plant with itself, you are most likely to get the same plant. You crossbreed again. With 2 different plants, it's most likely to be one or the other. It's a random process, so any combination has about as much chance as any other, unless it involves the plant you want to breed. The Merchant of Menace Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Yeah, just keep trying, you'll eventually get what you need. Quote
