Jordan lawes Posted November 8, 2012 Share Posted November 8, 2012 ye i no im stupid. but serouisly i got the files put it in the folder and set it up but my problems are A. i cant get on tekkit it says update failed b. when i run the server it says this: 20:19:52 [WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT! 20:19:52 [WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind 20:19:52 [WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port? > please help im really confused Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Omicron Posted November 8, 2012 Share Posted November 8, 2012 Did you manually enter an IP address in server.properties? If so, that is likely the cause of your "failed to bind to port" error. That field is meant to be left empty except for very rare circumstances, and if you don't know what those circumstances are, you are not in them :p Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
