Moderators AetherPirate Posted May 23, 2016 Moderators Posted May 23, 2016 Here it is: Server zip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/12yw3ue7qbl6mt6/server.zip?dl=0 Client zip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gnm2rb28jemywpj/modpack.zip?dl=0 I have the server running now on my test computer. The address is thecodester.no-ip.info. Grab the client pack, and join and test it out. You will also need to decide if it will be a PVP or PVE server, how many players, whitelisted vs not, etc.. and edit the start.bat file to suit your hardware's RAM. I have it at 5GB now. You had requested both Optifine and Fastcraft. They don't play nicely together, it is best to choose just one. I chose fastcraft. For some basic server tools, I would suggest adding either Forge Essentials, or FTB Utilities. I did not touch ore generation, so there are will be lots of duplicated ores from the many mods that add ores. This can be changed too. Have a look, and let me know what you think.
TheCodester Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 (edited) Hey @AetherPirate thanks for creating the pack but I tried to login 24/05 at 5:13PM AEST but it said the 1st time time out then the 2nd time I logged in and then it disconnected? Here is crash log (http://pastebin.com/gnpy0gzQ) Edited May 24, 2016 by TheCodester
Moderators AetherPirate Posted May 24, 2016 Moderators Posted May 24, 2016 (edited) I'll have a look today and see whats going on. I am able to connect and play. Try this: 1) Download Plowman's Barebones Pack 2) Run it once. 3) Put all the mods from the Client zip file into /mods. Make a Flan folder and add the two content pack .jar files . 4) Launch it again and attempt to connect. This should ensure you have a clean test environment. Moderators AetherPirate Posted May 27, 2016 Moderators Posted May 27, 2016 Taking the test server down tomorrow, need it for other stuff.
TheCodester Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Hey @AetherPirate How would I add the plugins you suggested to the server. Because they aren't in the server.zip.
Moderators AetherPirate Posted May 27, 2016 Moderators Posted May 27, 2016 (edited) FTB Utilities (I prefer this one) http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/ftb-utilities Put this in /mods on BOTH server and client. Don't forget its dependency, FTBlib. OR Forge Essentials http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/forge-essentials-74735 Put this in /mods on the server. There is a separate client side .jar that is optional. Read up on them and choose whichever one you think is best. Edited May 27, 2016 by AetherPirate
TheCodester Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Hey @AetherPirate Which one would you prefer because I have been reading up on them this morning and have no idea what to choose?
Moderators AetherPirate Posted May 28, 2016 Moderators Posted May 28, 2016 I like FTB utilities. It has a really easy land claim system.
TheCodester Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Can you disable it somehow? I don't really want to use it.
Moderators AetherPirate Posted May 28, 2016 Moderators Posted May 28, 2016 If permissions and land claims aren't need, skip it entirely. In that case, add Aroma Backup to the pack so you can have automatic world backups http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/aromabackup/files/2284754 and http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/aroma1997core/files/2257644
TheCodester Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 When you made the modpack @AetherPirate aroma backup should have been there...
