NEI not on Inventory Screen

My brother played Tekkit and somehow made Not Enough Items vanish off the inventory screen. How do I get it back?

Press "O" and it will come back.

Damage it. That means punch it, slap it with a tool or sword, set it on fire with a laser, fire an arrow at it, fire a Blunderbuss in its face, and basically anything else.
