Problem with tekkit server can some 1 help

I have java 7 installed.

Running on Win XP i know i'm a bit out of date but it worked before.

The problem is i got tekkit server from the site i unrared it into a folder.

The next thing i did is try to run the jar file. Usualy it would extract some files into that folder.

But with me i double click it and nothing happens. Then i launch the bat file and this is what i get:

C:\Documents and Settings\T\Bureaublad\minecraft 2012 release\Tekkit_Server_3.1.

i'm failry sure this is the wrong section, nevertheless, you most likely need to update your java

Lol i looked for the section to post this but couldn't find it. Sorry though.

By the way i have installed the latest version first but when i had this problem i downgraded it to 6 and and now its on 7.

So plz any other insiders

oke i got my problem fixed. Stupid me i forgot to install Visual C++. But thanks anyways guys

I'm pretty sure you don't need that to run a tekkit server. Also, use the edit button instead of double postink would you kindly.

note to self, tell everyone that the problem is their lack of visual C++ runtime for their java based game from now on. it'll be great.
