Hi all. I'm going to try to keep this brief. I need help.

I recently decided to get back into Tekkit with some friends, Tekkit Lite specifically. I'm not able to get any sounds from the game at all. I've also tried other older packs like Tekkit Classic and there is no sound on that either. Vanilla has sound, no problem, the primary Tekkit pack has sound no problem. These older packs are silent though.

Here's what I've tried

  • Fresh installs of Minecraft, the Technic Launcher, and the modpacks (multiple attempts)

  • Downloading and replacing the resources folder for Tekkit Lite

  • Sound is enabled, volume is up. All other sounds from my PC work fine, it's just Tekkit's older modpacks specifically.

  • F3+T to reload the game's textures (a billion times)

  • F3+S (A billion times)

Music has played at random a couple of times for seemingly no reason. The sound files ARE IN THE RESOURCES FOLDER CONFIRMED. I'm completely beside myself here and every single thread or forum post I can find online shows solved via one of the solutions I posted above but I'm still not there. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks all!
