Why wont my Modpacks launch?

Every time I press play on the modpack the launcher closes for a bit and opens back up

Yeah, you'll need to see if you can still update your intel drivers (intel driver assistent, do not use windows driver update for it) and you'll have to downgrade java back to 8u51.

can I ask where I could get the 8u51 version of java I believe I have the same problem as the OP . I have tried the oracle archive website but whenever I try to download it I get an error on their site. thanks

Does your log say something like what OP has? Especially around the error part?

its OK I found the download for the 8u51 version and everything has worked! Thanks for the help anyway though.
