PlatinumMods Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hello, just made a modpack and uploaded it to technic launcher. When I install and run it, my game loads into 1.7.10 vanilla MC. Here is the link to a dropbox I created for it: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/0poo8gujcanxdsu/modpack.zip?dl=1. Please need help ASAP! Quote
JaariAtmc Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Why did you rename Forge to modpack.exe (needs to be .jar)? Also, you have Morph for 1.12.2 included, that will cause your modpack to crash when you fix Forge. Quote
PlatinumMods Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) hmmm, not sure why I had morph 1.12.2, I also reinstalled a new version of forge 1.7.10 and renamed it to modpack.jar hopefully that was the only issue EDIT: didn't work. I have had this problem with another modpack I tried to make but I gave up on it. here's the new dropbox link with new morph 1.7.10 and forge 1.7.10: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qn1i2w3ok11nor5/fixedpack.zip?dl=0 Could it be that I need a config folder or something. The videos I have watched didn't include a config folder. And their modpacks worked just fine... Edited July 14, 2020 by PlatinumMods Quote

You have file extensions hidden, so you just created a modpack.jar.jar instead. Quote
PlatinumMods Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) Ok, so i updated it: https://dl.dropbox.com/s/h9zwgn87wc9vhai/pleasework.zip?dl=1 . But now, when I click play modpack, technic loads up and then mc won't open (not sure if I did a good job explaining that, sorry). Am I missing anything in particular besides renaming modpack.jar to modpack...? Edited July 14, 2020 by PlatinumMods Quote

Am I missing anything in particular besides renaming modpack.jar to modpack...? You are missing the two Codechicken dependencies. They're hard to get by, nowadays, since the official download site for that is gone. Please use these for now. I can't 100% promise if they work with your forge version (you are using 1558, latest for 1.7.10 is 1614). https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/urd12shw1pum3kl/chicken dependencies.zip Edited July 14, 2020 by JaariAtmc Quote
PlatinumMods Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) ok I remember seeing something about the Codechicken dependencies, I assume I install them and put them into a config folder..? EDIT: I put both the code chicken .jar files into a config folder, wasn't sure if that was what I was supposed to do or not, but it didnt work. Am I missing any important steps when making my modpack? Edited July 14, 2020 by PlatinumMods Quote

Am I missing any important steps when making my modpack? Really? REALLY? I gave you two jars in a zip. The config folder consists of .txt files. Why did you think that placing them in the config folder was a good idea? Quote
PlatinumMods Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Ok man lets not get feisty here, this is technically my first time making a modpack... as you can see I'm not a very experienced modpack creator. Quote
