Fxntxsy Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 (edited) I just recently wanted to play pixelmon and I downloaded technic launcher and i tried to log in and it said An error occured etc. and i read through a couple other forums on it and I deleted all javas, redownloaded technic, and i saw one about looking at your host files and i did and it says this. Any help # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost 127.0.0.1 sessionserver.mojang.com 127.0.0.1 authserver.mojang.com Edited August 9, 2020 by Fxntxsy
TerdyTheTerd Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 While Pixelmon support is not offered on these forums, its possible that mojangs servers were simply down at that time, have you tried again? Before messing with any host files or firewalls etc just try to ping "authserver.mojang.com" via command prompt or even just paste in that in the url to see if you can access it at all
