[N/A] Help making a modpack for friends

Question

Posted

So I've been trying to set up a modpack to play on a server with some friends, and every time i try to install the modpack i get an error. I've tried using both google drive and dropbox, altering the copied links as needed. I've also tried using a .jar instead of a .zip cos i saw somewhere that might work. Not really sure where to go from here so any help is appreciated

Google Drive .jar: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TUsAB96UBXOHSeOp5FG2g1zXXXhBT1Tv/view?usp=sharing

Google Drive .zip: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j4IK1PbxAw56cjOMlVB1xqOY2ZgjhLDb/view?usp=sharing

Dropbox .zip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oyck9d108jobpdp/modpack.zip?dl=1

You can't make a .rar file and just rename it to .zip. That's the same as making a Word document, then saving it as a Powerpoint file. And now you are attempting to get Powerpoint to open your renamed Word document.

When you zip your file, make sure its compressed as a zip. Not as a .rar.

Also, Google Drive doesn't allow for direct downloads, so its useless for modpacks. Use Dropbox.
