tekkit classic update

I've been playing tekkit classic for years and years and so have a bunch of other people. I'm not sure if its possible but is there any way tekkit classic can be updated out of the 1.2.5 version. I believe if it is updated to more of a later version many more new people will play. I was just thinking about how even just last years there were so many tekkit servers and now there's MAYBE even on a handful. Sad to see its going extinct but it would be really cool to see it up and running good again like the old days.

I replaced the old modpack.jar with forge for 1.16.5 and tekkit classic broke horribly.

Tekkit classic wouldn't be classic anymore if you updated it. Then it just be Tekkit Kitchen Sink.
