2b3o4o Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I'm trying to play vanilla through the Technic launcher with Sphax x64, but as expected, MCPatcher didn't work. Do I have to do something special to get it to work? Thanks in advance!
EzioA Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Why on earth would you use mcpatcher? Just install OPTIFINE. (to modpack.jar)
gotyaoi Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 MCPatcher likes to operate on minecraft.jar. This won't work for technic. As EzioA said, grab optifine and put in in modpack.jar. You might be able to get MCPatcher to work right, but it would be a big hassle, and besides, you'll probably see a performance boost with optifine anyway.
2b3o4o Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 Placing the Optifine zip in modpack.jar didn't seem to do anything at all... Did I need to put just the contents of the zip in modpack.jar? Or should I have placed it in the "EMPTY" folder or deleted META-INF from Minecraft.jar?
racingpro Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Did I need to put just the contents of the zip in modpack.jar? Yes. Putting the zip itself into modpack.jar, or any file/folder in the directory for that matter, will do nothing.
gotyaoi Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Yes, unzip it and place the contents into the jar.
