making a doppler radar

open CCsensors should also be able to do this, or just plain old CCsensors if you're on tekkit classic

Doesn't Rei's have a player tracker in with the mob marker settings (whatever they're called). It's got support for every mob under the sun, and I think it has that.

Or you could make a mod like RichardG did, the gps-not-stalker mod. But he basically disabled it (made it non mandatory) in versions >1.2.5.
