Launcher Version: 1.0.4.3

Operating System: Windows 7 64bit

Java Version: 7 update 10 64bit

Antivirus Program:

Description of Problem:

When you are using dropbox to host your custom zip files, they will not work right if you use the link that is automatically copied to your clipboard. Getting the URL of the download button fixes the problem. For instance:

Auto copied URL (doesn't work) =

https://www.dropbox.com/s/<stuff here>/mods.zip

Download button URL (does work) =

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/<stuff here>/mods.zip?dl=1

I hope this helps!

As this seems to be a very common issue, I would think it should be fairly straighforward to make the launcher detect dropbox URLs and make the (very simple) edits necessary. If this issue is so easily solved with other common hosting solutions (mediafire, for example?) it could be extended to cover them as well.

So I have had my files checked and the structures are correct. Moved the zip file to another host and the launcher actually DID download it this time. Even went through unpacking.

Still Vanilla Minecraft however. :(
