Launcher dont work

When I try run the launcher, the windows says "Checking launcher updates" and the Downloading 0/3 Updates" and it vanishes.... and when I open the .Technicpack folder, the only file in there is Technic-launcher.jar

plz help!! :S

PS: I have redownloaded the Launcher from technicpack.net also

This is either the problem that sprang up from the recent MC update, or your antivirus. Possibly both!

Redownload the launcher from the sidebar on the mainsite. If that doesn't work, disable your antivirus and try it. If that DOES work, set the launcher up as an exception to your antivirus's firewall.

I don't care if you've already done this in the past. It's possible that redownloading the launcher breaks that.

Unless that's for a different problem.

Also if you have norton you should probably remove it.

If you don't, well do what cheap shot said.

Ok so I have done that all now... and its still not working. I have completly uninstalled my antivirus and re added the launcher to my exceptions list and I am still having issues. What else have you got.

Try making sure you're using Java 7, and DONT have Java 6 installed.
