panerfaust37 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I have been looking everywhere and have watched the video on the tekkit website, but still have to clue how to use the custom zips. I want to add mods to my tekkit classic server, can someone give me a step by step guide. I have tried already, but it never does anything after I enter the urls. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks Quote
freakachu Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 step one: make zip step 2: create relevant folders inside zip step c: place mods and/or configs in their respective folders inside zip step IV: upload zip somewhere that it is accessible directly, give out URL step 0110: profit Quote
panerfaust37 Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 my problem is when i enter the url into the custom zip and hit okay nothing happens, it doesnt add the mod. What am I doing wrong? Quote
Lothos Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 my problem is when i enter the url into the custom zip and hit okay nothing happens, it doesnt add the mod. What am I doing wrong? First off, it doesn't download when you hit ok on the options screen. Second, try clearing the cache first in options and then let it redownload that modpack and you should see the custom.zip last being done. Quote
panerfaust37 Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 I tried clearing the cache and still got nothing, I have followed the video step by step and that didnt work either. All I am trying to add is traincraft, treecapitator and mo creatures. do you know where i could find a build that i could just download instead of trying to make my own? Quote
gotyaoi Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 If you just want to add things to your single player, it's probably easier to just do it manually. Just drop those three mods into your mods folder. Quote
panerfaust37 Posted February 2, 2013 Author Posted February 2, 2013 Unfortunately I'm trying to add them to a server, it's a small private server, just 4-5 people. Quote
Lappro Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 you haven't really posted much relevant information like how your custom zip looks like. At the moment it looks like all you are saying is: make the zip for me since i dont have a clue and want to look into it more. That will get you nowhere. Quote
