I don't really know where to start with this so here i go. I've recently started to play Tekkit and i loved it. I played with my friend and the whole bit. Ever since Voltz has come out I've been trying to play it, but i just can't I'm so used to the optifine water and lava. that just being around the old and dusty water skins drive me crazy. I've tried to install optifine my self, but it doesn't seam to work. I've done YouTube video's and the whole nine yards. I've had quite enough of it. why doesn't Technic just install it them self tekkit and Technic look beautiful with optifine why don't they install it with voltz??

Take up that matter to the modder himself, he is the one who categorically refuses to let modpack creators add Optifine to their packs. Also, don't sign your posts, it's against the rules.

Also, could it be you were installing the mod in minecraft.jar? For Technic modpacks, you must install it in modpack.jar.

nah the many videos say to install it to your modpack.jar, but everytime i do it says the file is corrupt and needs to be cleared and re installed.

what archiver are you using?

mcpatcher, since i refuse to use feed the beast.

That's why. don't use mcpatcher, it is both incompatibe with the modpack.jar format and also optifine. download 7zip and install it by hand into the modpack.jar

well for that then i got winrar. i just thought mcpatcher was suppose to install mods...

It is intended to, but the key words in which why it doesn't work is in the title: PATCHER. it patches the class files rather than overwriting them, and when those class files don't exist, it has some issues.
