How do you enable flying? And what is the mod blocking it called? We made the band that allow you to fly but it doesn't allow us to fly. We just get kicked.

It's a generic server feature designed to keep people from cheating simply go into server.properties in the folder your tekkit server is in and switch "allow-flight=false" to "allow-flight=true". That should fix it unless there is something else I don't know, i just fiddle with the server so I'm not a wiz.

this is 100% correct. had this problem myself a while ago and this is what I did to fix it. accessing my flying castle has never been easier!

it doesn't prevent OPs from booting you manually from the server, so that's probably your issue. I know I'd kick you.

I am op and its just me and 2 friends on the server. In fact none of the properties I'm changing are working, flying is true, php is false, and mobs is false but nothing has changed, I'm not sure what else to do.

have you tried restarting the server after you make the changes?

yes I stopped the server made the changes and restarted it

are you saving the file? because if nothing's sticking even though you're changing the settings you are either not saving the changes, or you are changing the wrong file somehow.

Im using casper's tekkit server launcher and the file is contents/Resources/TekkitServer/Server.Properties

and doesn't it automatically save when you X out the text edit box?

Im on a Mac by the way

if you open it up right now does it have all that stuff set the way you think it's set? if no, then no. if yes, then apparently it does.

Yes all my changes are there when I open it up I don't know why they aren't being implemented in the server.

well then you must be editing the wrong file. is the tekkit.jar file in the same place as the server.properties that you're editing?

Yes the jar file and properties are both in the TekkitServer file

then there's 0 reason it should not be picking up your changes. reboot the machine, I guess?

the computer the server is running on. if that's yours, then yes.

if that does not work, I just was browsing the mac server setup thread and saw something that might be the cause of your issue.

look in ~/TekkitServer and see if there's a server.properties in there. if so, make sure it's got the settings you want as well.
