Fonts don't seem to be HD

So, I installed the sphax texturepack, but the fonts don't seem to be HD (they're much more pixely) so I assume I've installed the texture pack wrong. I look at a video tutorial and the guy does the same thing I did, I google the problem to find that optifine isn't actually in tekkit lite but forge has built in HD.

So I have no idea why it isn't on a HD font, I've tried clearing my cache and reinstalling tekkit lite, same results. Am I just being stupid and missing something or is this actually the HD font it's supposed to give?

Huh... from here that actually looks completely fine, but it's not when I'm playing the game...

(please excuse the excess formatting, I haven't done this in a long time)

Edit: I've just found that in the menu, some items have switched to default texture and yet most are the sphax texture, I have no idea what's going on... please help...

I think there's a "Use custom fonts" option in the graphics settings somewhere.

Well, it does turn out that I needed optifine, which is weird because it says everywhere that forge already makes it HD... well, nonetheless it's solved now, thanks!

Since Tekkit Lite was updated to 0.5.8 didn't they update Forge as well? (The reason I ask is because I want to install Optifine but do not want the weird "liquids not flowing" bug I had with it earlier.)

As I said above, I just needed optifine, just install optifine into tekkit lite.

Did you do a manual install of Optifine or use the Magic Launcher? I'm not keen to use the 'Magic Launcher' but I would love to get the HD fonts working.
