milonti Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 So I'm sure I can't be the only person to notice this, but has anyone tried Macerating, Auto-Crafting, and burning Blaze Rods for surplus energy? I was wondering if it was actually an effective form of generating energy or if I'm better off dumping all my materials into getting an equivalent amount of energy from solar arrays. Quote
Maxis010 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Anything that requires an item to change state (Rod > Powder) requires the chunk to be loaded, so if you are going to be in the area a lot then this method works Solar works without your presence so if you go off for a minecraft week hunting for more diamonds to add to your diamond chests of diamond blocks you will come back to a powered house instead of a stagnant rig Quote
milonti Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 Well dimensional anchors are relatively cheap. Guess i forgot to mention one of those in my original post. Quote
Elvarion Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 You could check out this setup ive made. It can be done with RE-Batteries and normal solars also. Just need to config the timers so you wont end up with alot of "dead-time" Quote
