I always had a little trouble when it came to updating the mos for my players. In the custom zip explanation before I read that if I wanted to go from:

examplemod 1.0

and replace it with

examplemod 1.5

I would do it by placing examplemod 1.5 into the mod pack zip and then making examplemod 1.0 a blank empty file that way when the zip program would overwrite it and when FORGE came to it it would see a blank file and do nothing with it causing no error and pass it by but load

examplemod 1.5

Is this correct? I had problems getting it working right before so were were deleting the custom folder and re downloading the whole fresh mod pack with the up dates each week. I wish I could find a setting in the zip program that would erase the existing files or compare names before writing new to prevent the multiple mods crash.

If I missed something Please point it out maybe I'm not the only one and would like to start correctly with the new platform!
