HELP! Technic Launcher Problems

I recently downloaded the Beta launcher for mac.

Unaware of what the "select folder" would do, I told it to use the desktop.

Now my desktop is covered in files

How do i fix this? I already tried redownloading.

Despite the issue that you missed the "Technic Launcher Section", I honestly can't tell what your problem is... Cuz I have no idea how you managed to rip the launcher in shreds and spill the contents onto your desktop.... When I download I download 1 (one) file...

May I be a biased asshole and suggest the problem lies within the OS?

No, not really anything to do with the OS. User error. The program simply did exactly what he told it to do. by default technic puts its files and the modpacks in ~/Library/Application Support/technic, but you can tell it to put stuff anywhere you want, and the king of games here told it to put things on the desktop.

And it did.

Fix: take the actions you originally took (changing technic's data folder), but in reverse.
