How do I associate my Minecraft account with my Technic account?

Obviously, Technic needs to connect through my account, or we could all play Minecraft for free through Technic. How do I get it to know what my account is and how to access it?

There is no technic account (except for the forums, but it's something else).

You need to input your minecraft login and password.

Uh...just use your Minecraft account in the launcher. It runs yours and everyone's credentials through the Minecraft.net servers like the original launcher. You only need a "Technic Account" for two things:

1. Posting, uploading and managing modpacks you create on the technic platform.

2. A second account for posting on the forums, which you already have.

And no, you can't play Minecraft for free through Technic.
