cannot install mod packs

i have been trying to install extra mod packs but it says it cannot download. it checks for an update then installs the native files and then gives me the following error. for example when i tried to download the clay soldiers mod pack.

Error downloading file for the following pack:ClaySoldiers

Failed to download https://dl.dropbox.com/u/97056275/Claysoldiers.zip

Please consult modpack author

and its not the download link. i have tried others but have had no luck. how do i fix this so i can download the mod packs i want

how do I not use dropbox because I try to download it from the launcher and it always tries to download it from dropbox

Uh, he means DropBox as a file hosting service. The launcher doesn't host any modpacks, the modpack creator's chosen host does (DropBox, their own website, Mediafire, Ubuntu One,MEGA).
