Raven2911b Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Hi I have come to ask, no, plead, for aid. I have not been able to get the tekkit server running since day 1. I have googled and trolled a lot of forums to find an answer, to no avail... so I have decided to pop in here with my specs and see if one of you fine folks may have a answer to my problem... or at least point me in the correct direction. I am running Windows Server 2003, SP2 (yes, server edition). I have Java 1.7.0_21, I have tried to run the tekkit server on bukkit Ver 1.4.7.268, and also stand-alone. I had to modify the launch file to "java -Xmx1025m -Xms512m -jar Tekkit.jar nogui" With or without the bukkit launcher, the tekkit files load with no faults, however, whenever I try to log into the server I get the "Connection Lost: End of stream" error. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank
D3matt Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I am assuming you got there error on the client? There's a more detailed error on the server console probably. Post that. Also check your firewall.
Richs_Yard Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I am assuming your are not trying to troll us.
D3matt Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I am assuming your are not trying to troll us. Why would he be, and why bother posting if that's all you're going to post? Obviously you assumed he IS, since you didn't dignify him with an actual response.
Markarthian Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 And youre obviously no fun. I have to agree with him dude, not everybody deserves mockery/trolling... Have you checked that your firewall allows java to connect to the internet?
Raven2911b Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 Update... I have just found out that my son and his friends have been playing on our Tekkit server for the last hour. I checked the server logs and it is running just fine. So the error is with one computer only. My only concern was the kids being able to access the game ( which they now can). Since it is working for the kids, I am happy with that. But I do want to mention that the Tekkit was the only server that the "testing" computer could not connect to. I had made vanilla servers, Aether servers, and other custom servers for the kids to play on, and they all ran fine from the "testing" computer. I can now focus on just this one box to figure out why its not connecting. I will post back if I find anything. One last thing... trolling ????? wtf????
Raven2911b Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Fixed! The version on the testing computer was corrupted. I had spare copies of all versions that I made with McNostalgic, but v1.3 was "faulty" somehow. Replaced the 1.3 with a re-downgraded version, and all is well. Now all that is left is to get the Minecraft VoIP working better and the server will be complete.

Raven2911b Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 No no... its a VoIP that we will be using during Minecraft games. It will be on the same server. Only just started testing that. still has bugs in it. Kids don't want to use the text in MC and right now they tie up the phone calling their friends while they are playing.
redeagle Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 If your comfortible with them (the kids) on teamspeak, you can open a ts3 or ts2 for them... just a thought
