Title: Lags caused of high Ethernet usage

Version: 1_0_3

OS: Windows 8 Pro

Java Version: 1.7.0_21-b11

Description of Problem:

Everytime I do something on a server, like right-clicking on a chest, it takes a few seconds until the chest opens. The longer I stay on a server, the more it lags...

In the following there are three links to pictures of my ethernet connection. How can it be, that minecraft uses my whole connection.

Yeah, I know that my internet connection is worse than every normal human beings internet connection, but minecraft worked with much less, until the new tekkit launched.

Which mod sends those incredible big packets and why??

Sorry for my bad english.

Small notice:

Walking through a portal and then walking around in the nether (dim -1) makes the bandwith sink under 80 kbit/s.

So lag (downstream over 1 MBit/s) just appears in the overworld (dim 0).

There are Redstone Engines an pumps in the nether (same items then in the overworld), so that it seems to be an error with the overworld combined with buildcraft.

Hi,

We ran a test tonight with buildcraft 3.5.1 (for 1.52) and it ran fine. Looks like this is just one of those release bugs. We're waiting on 6 mods to update to 1.52 and then we can begin testing for a tekkit 1.1.0 release that will fix this issue.

I did the update to 1.0.5. It would appear that has fixed the buildcraft issue for me. I have all mods installed and no latency issues.

We also did the 1.0.5 update but without improvement for the lag (except the lagfree nether).

And yes, we just have to wait for Tekkit 1.1.0 with Buildcraft 3.5.1 (currently we use BC 3.5.0) for Minecraft 1.5.1 (cause buildcraft needs a newer version of forge etc pp...).

"Just" updating BC in the current Tekkit Pack wouldn't run... because of dependencies.

Ok thanks!

Also i saw an update on BuildCraft website, its the update 3.5.1 for minecraft 1.5.2... Maybe it will help a little...

It's in the 1.1.0 version of Tekkit =) Don't try it in your current Tekkit version, it will crash :)

By the way, for those who'd like to confirm or mess around, the 1.1.0 version is available as a build in the launcher, but it's lacking about half a dozen mods, so it'll probably break your worlds pretty bad.

So is there any chance of getting the fix in the new version applied as a hotfix into our current version?

Based on having to wait for 6 other mods to update this could take a while to be fixed and is quite bad on my server. Our home base is surrounded on all sides by lag areas.

Alternatively, is there a way to manually hack the new version into 1.0.5?

Big thanks to you! Reprogramming an recompiling an external mod just for us to play smooth is that damn awesome!

And now we're far away from the 1 MBit/s point... Just again: Thx man
