Skatefun Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Hello, I love Technic Launcher, and I made a ModPack, but the problem is that when I try to install the ModPack into the Launcher, it asks me to choose a folder (http://gyazo.com/8d13b01efbc751516f4430f780eeaeef . png), I tried with other ModPack and the installation folder is predefined () I searched and searched, but I did not find any answers ... So, how do? Thank you in advance. PS: Sorry for my English, I'm French. Quote

lukeb28 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Your too nice Munaus, I would have just reported it. As for his problem, your image links seem to be broken so I have no idea what your trying to say. If your asking what to put where it asks for the modpack location you put the link to where ever you hosted your pack. Quote
Skatefun Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 Sorry for 'Up', for my problem, my image links work for me .. Anyway, I have upload my screen in different server, so : I love Technic Launcher, and I made a ModPack, but the problem is that when I try to install the ModPack into the Launcher, it asks me to choose a folder ( ), I tried with other ModPack and the installation folder is predefined ( ) I searched and searched, but I did not find any answers ... lukeb28 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Oh I see, very simple. If this is your pack you have the force directory change selected. This forces you to put the pack somewhere not technic. This is for mod packs where the author of one of the mods likes to shit on the technic community by putting malicious code to do evil things when associated with the .technic folder. When a directory change is being forced and one of those types of mods are in it and you have change the folder so the malicious code wont do anything. If this is your pack and you don't have any mods like that (Cough Gregtech)then just make sure that the force directory change is not selected in the edit modpack menu. Quote
Skatefun Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 So, how to make a custom folder for my ModPack, without the individuals have needs select a folder? Quote
lukeb28 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Just unselect force directory change in your modpack and you don't need to make a new folder. It will save right in .technic by itself. Quote
lukeb28 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Oh thanks ! I'm so stupid .. No worries bud. We all make the odd error. :) Quote
Xicor Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 i don't see the option "force directory change" anywhere?! where is it? Quote
lukeb28 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 It's in where you link your modpack to technic.net. Quote
