"Could not connect to minecraft.net"

When I open the technic launcher, it says could not connect to minecraft.net and I have to play using offline mode. I am using the yogbox with the launcher, and I can't change what mods are available and update them seeing as it's not connecting to the internet and doesn't show me the mod select button.

When I open vanilla minecraft I have no issue connecting to minecraft.net, and my internet is connected and working.

Same version, same problem. I run it on a 32bit windows XP (and 32bit java).

I'm able to log in if i delete the lastlogin file and start the launcher. If i leave the file, it says "could not connect to minecraft.net" every time.

download the latest launcher from the front page. your launcher is out of date.
