EvilJoshy Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Hey, Im new to all this and I just want to open a server for me and one friend so we can learn together, well I downloaded the tekkit classic server and launched it, the launcher loaded fine with no problems and says Done! then when I open the server file to put my ip address into into comes up with all the information that was on the launcher? dwwojcik Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Do you mean you want to put the client's IP address into the server? If so, you don't need to do that. Only the client needs an IP address. Quote
Magister Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 if you are meaning to put the IP address in that the server should bind to in case you have more than one adapter or virtual adapter, that is in the server.properties files in the server folder. Quote
youeatp00 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 If you have port forwarded and the server is not connected directly to the internet, you can find an option in server properties (use notepad to edit) that lets you put in your ip and port to bind to. Quote
EvilJoshy Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Yeah sorry, tryed opening server file, not server.properties file, then had to go into properties to make it open in notepad, windows 8 wanted me to buy notepad 2 to open the damn file! scamming B*stards Quote
