Now that I think about it, I believe it might have something to do with the "Reading I" enchantment, as I haven't had a problem with it until after enchanting my helmet.

Hi, this looks like a bibliocraft bug: Reading I enchantments let you see the names of all the books in a bookcase by looking at the bookcase. It looks like bibliocraft might crash when looking at an empty bookcase with Reading on? Very unfortunate.

It was only partially empty and only crashed when looking at books on the outside of the bookcase. The reading I enchantment seemed a bit needless anyway, although it is pretty neat aesthetically if they can get it to stop crashing when looking at books.
