SebRydahl Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Are there anyone who knows how to install shaders for Hexxit 1.5.2
Melfice Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 First you grab a duck. Then some golden lion tamarin monkey feces. Make sure it's actually from the tamarin monkeys. Some may say capuchin monkey feces will do as well, but I've had better success with tamarin feces. Slather the feces on the duck's tail feathers. ONLY the tail feathers. If you have any left, you can do whatever you want with it. Place the duck on your monitor and have it spin around three times. That should do it. If that didn't work, I'm going to need some more information from you. Namely: 1) What shaders are you talking about? There are several, as far as I know/care to find out. 2) Did you follow the installation instructions TO THE LETTER? This is important. 3) If you ever even tried it, I'm assuming it failed miserably. Did you get any error logs? Post those on pastebin, and then link that to us. Thank you. AJthekidCP 1
TokiWartooth Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 See I wish I could maintain this level of snark when I get grumpy but I just plain get angry and it throws my snarkbone out the window.
eaerth Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Well, Roddy Piper is the absolute master of snark, after all... Not to be confused with the Snork Master, I won't get into that.

BrandonW Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I also can't get shaders to work. Here is what I'm using. OptiFine_1.5.2_HD_U_D5 (OptiFine_1.5.2_HD_U_D3)* Make sure its D3 or same ver. the shaders mod. ShadersMod-mc1.5.2-ofud3-1.46 I extracted these in the above order to minecraft.jar (modpack.jar)* located in (.technic/hexxit/bin). Working in all its shady goodness.

It is just a shame that there is no one explaining that when you use forge in a modpack, you need to put the files into your modpack.jar because if you don't... forge can't find the original minecraft to launch with addons. Also it is important that you install the same version of optifine and shaders mod. BrandonW thank you for your help, I would also just point out that when you have your base core for the mod... any shader pack that are 1.5.2 and are compatible with the optifine version... I have got 4 or something like that. But anyway thanks for the help and I hope that anyone can use this page as information if they don't know what to do.
zombaxx Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Looks great after installing, but now ladders and vines are unclimbable due to a clash between forge and optifine d3.... anyone know a fix for this? Optifine d5 doesn't have this problem, but I can't find a shaders mod for 1.5.2 Optifine d5. Just trying to get my Hexxit experience as epic as possible, and I don't want to have to pick between shaders and ladders. Anyone know a fix for this?

Well I used these two: http://www.9minecraft.net/glsl-shaders-modified-mod http://www.9minecraft.net/optifine-hd/ <--- the correct optifine d3 ultra can be found on the website under older versions in the bottom. These two files together work great, and I have no problems what so ever. If you can't find the correct download links, use these below... Click the big blue box with an orange arrow on the page, and you will soon have what you need. http://www.dl.9minecraft.net/index.php?act=dl&id=136929425 http://www.dl.9minecraft.net/index.php?act=dl&id=1368286781 After all that downloading it is time to follow the tutorial that brandonw gave two posts ago. Else use youtube if you are having more trouble. Feel free to write back to let me and all the others watching this post know if it works for you.
Poetic C Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Hi Seb (and any others who might be listening) - I've racked my brain (and the internet) over the past three days trying to get this to work. As described above, the only combo of optifine/shaders that seems to work for Hexxit (which has really breathed in new life to Minecraft for me) is the 1.5.2 ultra 3 optifine and a modified GLSL shaders mod - the problem is that ladders/vines do not work, a pretty-well known bug that's throughly documented with that version of optifine. Of course, upgrading Optifine to the next version (version 5) allows ladders to be climbable, but for the life of me, I cannot get the shaders to work at that point (nor with any other version of optifine/GLSL and Hexxit). If anyone has gotten optifine/shaders *and* ladders to work with Hexxit, could you please consider uploading your modpack.jar file (or emailing is fine as well, trying not to be selfish)? In return, you will have my undying adoration (along with a bevy of gratuitious emoticons)... Poetic C Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Got it, thanks to some fine chaps who were plugging away at the same issue (somewhat) for Tekkit. Here's the link to that thread: And here's what I posted on that thread... RiPt and Service Hans, bless yer souls - I was able to take this same fix and use it with 1.5.2 Hexxit (and ladders now work as well). As you stated, the key is using these two files, with installing optifine first into your jar, then the shaders mod...... ShadersMod-mc1.5.2-ofuD2-1.45.2 and OptiFine_1.5.2_HD_U_D2
