Mob spawning bug

So I'm new to the forum and I'm sure this has probably been discussed but i couldn't find it.

Just started a new tekkit server for my friends and I. We light up our homes and surrounding areas a great deal, but mobs keep spawning in or on our houses and lit area.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

I also run a vanilla tekkit server and I have never had this problem. you're probably leaving some areas that a bit too dark. it's easier to do than you think, so just light it up some more and it should be fine. if you're using some extra mob spawn affecting plugins though, who knows what your problem is

I'm running a vanilla tekkit server and we have everything lit up very well.

I did notice the lighting has change a bit with tekkit.

I have the same issue, mobs spawning all over our mining base in daylight (we have a glass ceiling) and in brightly lit rooms such as our filter room. (Tekkit server 3.0.4)
