Transforming to Tekkit

Hi,

Is it possible to add or transform your already existing server to tekkit? It would be really usefull for me so please help, Thanks.

Yes, but if it's vanilla you will not get the new ores in chunks you've already explored/loaded so you may have to go well out of your way to find some tin, copper, uranium, etc. Otherwise, yes, vanilla maps will work in Tekkit.

Or you can just get in addition to tekkit Multiverse and make a 2nd world for mining.

Thanks that's great but how do I do it? Do I just install the tekkit server files on to my server?

I'd backup everything first.

Version 1.2.X worlds won't work, as far as I know, since 1.2.x uses the Anvil world format.
