I cant get NEI to work on my modpack

i've created a custom mod pack and no matter what i do i cant seem to get NEI to work, every time i run it this comes up.

im using the 1.5.2 client and have tried using both the 1.5.1 version and the 1.6.2 that she has up on her thread but cant get either to work and i don't know what to do so any help appreciated.. NEI is like a MUST for minecraft XD

I think NEI is a coremod. Did you put it in the right spot?

on her post she said all mods go in the mods folder now their is no coremod folder, i dont know if thats just for 1.6.2 though?

What other mods are you using? We have run into an issue with the latest few releases of GalactiCraft.. if we put it in, NEI won't work at all. As soon as we remove it, NEI works just fine. So you might try going thru your mods systematically and seeing if there is a mod that is causing it to not function.

oh the image i posted with it didnt work, it comes up saying 'NotEnughItems : Minimum version required is 1.5.2.16' but thats even with the 1.5.1 version of it

i start it with only a few mods on and all the ones i have i've seen working with NEI on the default mod packs

A few problems here. First if you're using any version of MC before 1.6 then you need to put NEI in coremods. Also CodeChickenCore needs to be installed into coremods as well to make NEI work.

had them both in there didn't work, i just tried it again but with a later version of forge and it seems to work okay, i just used the later one instead of recomended thats the ONLY change.. weird
