ic3cr34m Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 So everytime I launch a modpack, after 10 seconds it crashes and says bad video cards. I have checked my video cards at school and all of them are up to date. It's an Intel® Express chipset family or something. I ran the troubleshooter on the official intel site, and it said it's up to date. Can anyone help me please? The java shouldn't be a problem due to it's JRE7 and updated as well. I tried lowering the memory usage to 512MB and it still crashed. Please help.
Chefsbrian Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I'm sorry, Video cards at school? Are you trying to run the modpack on a School PC?
Amaxter Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Hey, I don't blame him. I play on the computers at my school whenever I'm bored. However while the laptops at my school aren't powerhouses by any means they have quad core Intel i5 ivy bridges and dedicated Nvidia 660's. They seem to run most mod packs. Point is, Intel integrated GPU's generally are pretty bad, so you might be boned here.

My old High School machines where joyous windows XP Machines with absolutely nothing in the department of Graphics.
poryy Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 You are lucky. My school runs windows 98. They can barely run Google Chrome.
Chefsbrian Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Haha, moral of the story, unless its a University that offers decent computer science or 3d based courses, your probably not going to have enough power in it to run modded minecraft.
