try pressing F7 ingame.

I tried pressing F7 but that's just for Matmos. Anyway, I can live without those sounds (Philosopher Stone and the Charge/Discharge of the items). The rest are working perfectly,

I am missing several sounds myself.

Walking

Hitting

Placing Blocks

Breaking Blocks

Explosions

Everything else works, all other sounds ok.

I have Java 7 and last update of Java 6 too.

You shouldn't have both Java 6 and 7 installed at the same time ...uninstall all versions of Java on your system then install the correct Java 7 for your system , I'm not sure it solve your problem but it will for sure eliminate one potential cause.
