TECHNIC LAGS TOO MUCH, PLZ HELP ME! :(

hi, I've downloaded the technic launcher and I've tried to play with the technic mod.I've created a new world but I can't play because it lags too much, with F3 I've seen that it runs 99% of the allocated memory (almost 250 MB). I've tried to use the tekkit mod and it runs good only 70% memory. How can I increase the memory???

OS windows xp (32 bit) - java 32 bit

Launcher Version: jar (0.5.4.9)

You can increase memory, but clicking options on the launcher and increasing the amount there. This could be unrelated, but I had lag issues in SSP when using the spahx 128x pack, I dropped down to a 32x pack and had far less issues.

I've tried to increase memory in the launcer options to 1 GB or to 1536 MB but when I play it goes on using 250MB maximum memory

PS: in normal minecraft it can run to 1500 MB

Also as a note, this guy doesn't understand in the least how memory in MC works, especially memory allocation. If it's suddenly using 1500 MB total then you're in trouble since it means it's been holding onto garbage data way too long and you're about to freeze up while it gets rid of it all.
