Hello fellow Tekkit users! Boo here.

I started building a nuclear power plant last night in creative, and so far it's looking nice. It's also almost entirely self-sustained. Almost.

The trouble I'm having is that I'm feeding ice stacks into each reactor to keep it cool, but in order to sustain the reactor without needing to manually add in more uranium cells and take out old ones, I have to pump the old cells out and the new ones in. However, once the space is free, the ice wants to pump into that spot. Is there any set up, complicated or not, in which I can keep pumping ice into a reactor while still being able to pump out old cells and new ones in?

Have you watched the first video? If you have, on the empty slot on the reactor, put 2 pneumatic tubes coming out of it, on either side of the 2nd pneumatic tube, place one retriever pointing towards the pneumatic tube and the other one pulling from the pneumatic tubes, wire them up with power. Then, build an automatic uranium cell maker and hook it up to the retriever that is pulling into the pneumatic tube. After that, on the retriever pulling out of the tube (out of nuclear reactor) put an incinerator up to it, and place an empty uranium cell into the retriever, so it only pulls out empty ones and incinerates them. Put a full uranium cell into the retriever that is feeding the reactor. Thats pretty much it, I can remember the time to put into the timer thats connected. I know this sounds confusing but its the only other way. :)

I have 4 condensors around a single mk III collector, with 4 full reactors surrounding it. The ice is pulled from the condensors a stack at a time with a filter so as to not require power, and all 4 filters are activated at the same time with a single timer. There are only 2 lengths of tube between each condensor and reactor.

Okay, honestly, you should watch that video. Place MFFS reactor heat controls on the reactors (on the end of a chamber). Connect the pneumatic tube to those, set the heat controllers to 'cooler' and I think that should work, make sure you prime the hotbar of the heat controllers. But again, that video is a good and really powerful reactor.

Yes. I thought you already had it like that? If not, scratch everything I said, because 1 mffs heat controller wont be enough. That video shows you how to make one full of uranium. Sorry, I must have misunderstood you.

I had mine almost full, with 5 slots in the bottom of each reactor inventory filled with ice stacks for cooling. That alone keeps each reactor down below 250 degrees while running at full potential.

I have it at the default. It really doesn't consume enough ice to need .2 so you can do anything 2 seconds or lower, since it draws full stacks. I don't have an overflow condensor set up at the moment, though I may do so. The one I have on my survival map takes the excess EMC from the unused ice and makes a chain of increasingly larger EMC items to prevent any one condensor filling up. I can route all of the overflow from my cell production and ice production like that.

The used cells are hooked up to a recycler and then a mass fabricator, both powered by the reactors so as to not waste the cells. Unfortunately, as I've said before, once the spot is open, the filters send more ice into it. It would be great to either not have to put ice directly into the chambers or to find a way to shut off the ice pumping when a used cell is removed and a new one needs to be put in.

Maybe place the chests that the good cells end up in closer, so that the cells get there first? You wont have to to worry about the ice because they will keep going even if the ice is only at 63 in each stack of ice. Uhh, other than that, I dont know. :/

I'll see what I can work out. I'll post the outcome, for anyone else who cares to know. If I can find a way, it will be an entirely automatic reactor requiring no monitoring or maintenance.
