how can i "regenerate" my world while saving my spawn house

as the title says im looking to simply save my spawn area with all my chests etc while regenerating the outside world from this. how can this be achieved? any responses greatly appreciated

though it does not "show" the blocks or even the items in chests but it will move the IDs and thats all that matters. coppy, reload and paste. easy
