Kotja Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I am mining in Nether (I need a lot of netherrack) and I need to get rid of lava. How do I build Storage - made out of liquid manager, which could contain whole lava lake? Unehydrodyday 1 Quote
Generalcamo Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Depends on how large that lake is. Which version of Tekkit are you using? Unehydrodyday 1 Quote
Generalcamo Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Unfortunately, to my knowledge, the largest tank in that version is a portable tank, which can store 16 buckets of lava. The new version I know includes enderium portable tanks, which can store 64 buckets of lava, but it is expensive. Quote
Kotja Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Liquid manager from steeves carts could store 128. Quote
xylonez Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Are you asking for the setup of the LM itself or are you asking how to use it? If you don't need the lava, you can just pump it and then void the lava using void waterproof pipe. Quote
Kotja Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 I need setup but i have an idea, that i must try. I need lava for lot of Engines (I have max input for Energetic Infuser - 500 MJ/t) Quote
xylonez Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Have you tried this one? The 3x3 setup in the #1 post is the most compact setup I've ever seen. It's expandable and tileable. It's the current setup that I'm using for my liquid storage and I knew that a few others are also using this same setup. Quote
Kotja Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 I bulit this- I can easily expand it in all three dimensions. Quote
TonyVS Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 steel tanks from railcraft (separate mod required) a 7x7x8 tank can hold over 12.5 million milibuckets A millibucket is the smallest unit of liquid measurement in modded Minecraft. A millibucket equals 1/1000th of a bucket of liquid which is 12,500 buckets of liquid Quote
Daemon_Eleuel Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 In case you're going to use different mods I would suggest openblocks tanks. The contained amount can be configured from the config file, one block is 16 buckets (so 6272 buckets for a 7x7x8) normally but being able to shape the tank as you wish is pretty nice, and they are less buggy than railcraft tanks imho. How are rail tanks buggy? we have many on our server and I would like to inform people of issues Thanks we have open-block tanks as well because they look cool but the flow animation, if there are many, can lag out a server, so we haven't been advertising them Quote
Daemon_Eleuel Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I found out on my own server (small one, just playing with a few friends). For whatever reason the multiblock tanks from railcraft would cause a client crash when you got close to them. I didn't investigate the issue that much as I just removed railcraft (I try not to have redundant mods, and I only used it for the tanks) and used opentanks. Quote
TonyVS Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 ahh ok, guess they fixed that, I have 7 steel tanks myself and no issues, I only like the tanks myself as well, but another guy likes the train stuff. you mentioned you could edit the open block tanks contained amount can be configured from the config file is there a min/max that the open block tank can be set to? Quote
Daemon_Eleuel Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Not as far as I know. I tried to get them to 160 from 16 and they worked, but I moved them back to 16 as, honestly, I couldn't even tell how much I had left... I don't know how much more density you may want If he likes train stuff he may want to try traincraft, pretty cool if you like the "train station" vibe Anyway openblocks has a huge amount of very nice things, even if they are unrelated to each other :) Quote
