Weird mobs spawning.

I wanna know where they spawn, ive been seeing them spawn near beachy areas near palm trees so i tried to recreate the enviornment. fail. could someone tell me where they spawn?

It's biome dependent.

Vanilla biomes only, as far as I know. And as beaches are one of the, if not the only, biomes to not be altered/replaced by Biomes O' Plenty...

they seem to spawn only at beaches. I have never seen them in land. But the basic biome on which the beach is located doesn't matter. I had them spawn on lavender island beaches, steppe beaches and forrest beaches.
