Technic Launcher Problems?

I opened Technic Launcher when I got home from school, went on Tekkit Classic and it wouldn't load. After many unsuccessful attempts I unistalled the launcher and went to the site to download it again. I selected Windows for the download and every time it 'no data received'. I don't think I'm the only one with this problem because my friend is experiencing the same thing. Maybe it's something wrong with my Java or the download process has been removed from the internet for some reason. I may sound like a complete nub scrub to some people but I just want to play some tekkit.

There seems to be some temporary issue with the downloads. Please be patient and enjoy Valentines day!

if you go into your .technicmodpackstekkitmaincache and delete everything it will force the launcher to download the mods you should be fine after that
