Haxotic Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I was playing Tekkit and my client quickly shut off. When I reloaded the game a couple hours later my world was not in the selection list. The world file is still in the folder in %Appdata% but not in the client. Any fixes or ideas? Thank you!
TonyVS Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 sounds like karma from a rage quit.... you could try and create a new world with the same conditions (different name) and then copy the all the files into the new directory Haxotic 1

Haxotic Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) you create the link in your saved files ingame I create a copy of the world in-game but what files do I copy? I'm a little confused. Edited March 7, 2014 by Haxotic
TonyVS Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 you said The world file is still in the folder in %Appdata% but not in the client so you already know what files. what part are you missing exactly?
Haxotic Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 That when the files are swapped the only difference will be the name of the world folder. I don't see that helping anything but I'll give it a shot, thanks!
Haxotic Posted March 7, 2014 Author Posted March 7, 2014 you said The world file is still in the folder in %Appdata% but not in the client so you already know what files. what part are you missing exactly? Well it worked. I don't know how that worked, but it worked. Voodoo magic I'd say. Everything was restored but my inventory, thanks!
TonyVS Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 hehe voodoo magic like how christians believe the world is only 6000 years old. you created a new reference link to a saved game which is contained in a file outside of that folder. the game doesn't care what files are in there only that certain conditions are met, like whether or not it is survival, if you have cheats on, or if it is flat etc.
